• Shift: 12-hour rotating shifts; 3 shifts per week\n
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2020 - $2070\n

\n\n Job Requirements\n

\n
• Valid New York RN License\n
• BLS Certification (AHA)\n
• Minimum 2 years of experience in psychiatric nursing\n
• Telemetry experience preferred\n

\n\n Responsibilities\n

\n
• Conduct intake assessments through interviews with patients and relatives to gather case history\n
• Plan and provide nursing care for patients\n
• Make nursing diagnoses of the medical and emotional status of patients and recommend treatment options\n
• Consult with psychiatrists and other behavioral health staff in designing appropriate treatment plans for clients\n
• Administer and note reactions to psychotropic drugs and other medications\n
• Arrange further medical attention when necessary\n
• Assist clients in understanding the nature of emotional disturbances and accepting the need for treatment\n
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for staff and patients\n
• Test for vital signs of pain and ensure treatments of pain\n
• Document all patient information on medical charts and follow physician’s written orders\n
• Maintain patient confidentiality\n
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of patient treatments, immunizations, and laboratory results according to standard medical recordkeeping\n
• Perform administrative assignments such as filing, answering phones, typing, and completing progress notes in the computer system\n
• Provide courteous, high-quality service to patients and members of the public by personally responding to requests for service or making appropriate referrals\n
