Associate Project Manager (Burbank, CA)

Optomi, in partnership with a leader in the entertainment industry, is seeking an Associate Project Manager to support post-production engineering and studio infrastructure initiatives. The ideal candidate is tactical, highly organized, and thrives in fast-paced environments. This hands-on role requires cross-functional collaboration, on-site coordination, and meticulous project tracking across a variety of tools and systems. This individual will work closely with union teams, studio executives, and technical stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of on-lot deployments. This includes overseeing the installation of studio equipment, managing cabling and networking logistics, and supporting critical post-production systems essential to the success of high-profile film projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage 1–3 concurrent technical projects with small to moderate complexity.
  • Drive intake, planning, execution, and closure of project requests.
  • Coordinate day-to-day activities such as meeting facilitation, action items, stakeholder updates, scheduling studio resources.
  • Intake support requests via tickets, calls, emails, or direct asks, and help triage and resolve issues.
  • Collaborate with engineers on time estimates and project completion metrics.
  • Work with Finance to align project efforts with billing requirements.
  • Learn and support sprint ceremonies (planning, standups, retrospectives) and dashboards.
  • Partner with PMs and stakeholders to understand project goals and align resources accordingly.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s in Computer Science or Engineering.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Smartsheet, JIRA, Microsoft Teams.
  • Experience in project management tools and ticketing systems (e.g., JIRA Service Manager, SysAid, ScheduALL).
  • Experience supporting hardware installations, studio environments, or engineering teams.
  • Calm, proactive demeanor under pressure; able to take initiative with little direction.
  • Experience in large enterprise environments preferred.
