Job Title: Literacy Connects IT Operations Assistant

Wage: $17.00 per hour/part-time

Position Summary: The IT Operations Assistant will be working with Literacy Connects and Digital Stream Tech Advisors to build and
execute an IT Operations plan and participate in the delivery of new and redesigned IT systems and services. The
goals are to provide a robust IT Operations plan, enhance existing IT functions and operations, ensure the
adherence to external financial and cybersecurity audits, and develop an IT strategy and roadmap. Candidates do
not need to have extensive skills or experience. Digital Stream will provide project oversight, templates, written
policies and procedures, general guidance of day-to-day activities, and development of skills. This is a year-long
project. Candidates must be willing to commit to a minimum of six months.This position can provide up to 19.5
hours per week.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities: •Participate in the review of current IT Operations at Literacy Connects and the development and
implementation of IT Operations strategies and roadmap.
•Assist in development of project charter, project management documentation, and IT Operations
documentation.
•Define, plan, and participate in the implementation of new technologies to optimize daily business
functions.
•Provide training to staff on cybersecurity, policies and procedures, best practices, and new technologies to
support staff learning and implementation.
•Communicate with stakeholders and advisors.
•Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: The successful candidate will have the following knowledge, skills and abilities: •Dependable with strong project and time management skills
•General knowledge in any of the following: Information Technology, hardware and software, networking,
cyber and information security, IT asset management, IT operations, governance and compliance
•Strong verbal and written communication and comprehension skills
•Desire to learn and bring current knowledge to the project
•Ability to participate as a thought leader and collaborate with team members
•Successful results of criminal background check
Hours: The Literacy Connects office is open 9 am to 5 pm, M-F with some classes and events in the evenings. Pima Community College
