Job Title: Travel RN - PACU (Post Anesthesia Care Unit) – 3:00 PM to 3:30 AM
Location: Albany Medical Center, Main Campus, 43 New Scotland Ave, Albany, NY 12208
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift Schedule:
• Shift Time: 3:00 PM - 3:30 AM
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Holiday Requirement: Rotating holidays
Compensation and Benefits:
• Weekly Gross: $2,435.00 Per Week
• On W2(Taxable): $720.00 Per Week ($21/hour)
• Stipend (Non-Taxable): $1,715.00 Per Week
Position Overview:
Albany Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Travel RN - PACU (Post Anesthesia Care Unit) to join their team for a 13-week contract. The ideal candidate will have experience in PACU nursing, be flexible, and be capable of managing patients post-surgery in a fast-paced environment.
Position Responsibilities:
• Provide patient care in the PACU, ensuring patients are monitored and recovering properly after surgical procedures.
• Administer medications, manage pain, and monitor vital signs.
• Collaborate with the surgical team, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the highest level of patient care.
• Rotate shifts and work weekends/holidays as required by the department.
• Ensure proper documentation and compliance with hospital policies and regulations.
• Epic experience required.
Position Requirements:
• Licensure: Active RN license in New York or eligible for licensure.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of RN experience in PACU.
• Skills: Must be proficient in PACU care, post-operative monitoring, and patient recovery.
Additional Information:
• No on-call required.
• The position will be required to float to other units if needed.
• Parking Location: On-site parking available at the facility.
