Job Description: RN - Clinic/Med-Surg Nurse
Location: New York, New York

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Clinic/Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in an ambulatory care setting. The RN will provide high-quality, patient-centered care, supporting diverse outpatient needs and addressing acute and chronic medical conditions. The ideal candidate is compassionate, detail-oriented, and skilled in delivering care in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Patient Assessment and Care: Conduct thorough patient assessments, manage care plans, and provide follow-up support for a variety of medical and surgical conditions.

• Clinical Support: Collaborate with physicians and the healthcare team to assist with treatments, procedures, and patient education.

• Medication Administration: Safely administer medications and monitor patients for responses and side effects, ensuring accurate documentation.

• Health Education: Provide patients and families with education regarding treatment plans, preventive care, and post-visit instructions to promote long-term health.

• Documentation and Compliance: Maintain accurate records in the electronic medical record (EMR) system and adhere to hospital and regulatory standards, including vaccination requirements.

Job Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
• Licensure: Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State.
• Experience:
  • Minimum 2 years of recent clinical or medical-surgical nursing experience in the specialty within the last 3 years.
  • Travel nursing experience or local NYC experience preferred.
• Certifications:
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Skills:
  • Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR).
  • Completion of a skills checklist in the required skill set.
• Vaccinations: COVID-19 and influenza vaccinations required prior to start date; no declinations accepted.
