Salary: $85/day; $95/day (licensed teacher); $105/day (retired BR teacher)

Job Summary :

Barr-Reeve Community Schools is seeking dedicated and reliable substitute teachers to support our classrooms when regular teachers are unavailable. The ideal candidate will maintain a positive and effective learning environment while following lesson plans left by the regular teacher. Key Responsibilities :

• Deliver Instruction : Follow and execute lesson plans provided by the regular classroom teacher.
• Classroom Management : Maintain a safe, respectful, and focused learning environment.
• Adaptability : Be prepared to adjust teaching strategies to meet the needs of students and classroom dynamics.
• Supervision : Supervise students during class and other school activities, ensuring their safety and engagement.
• Communication : Provide feedback to the regular teacher regarding the days activities and any issues encountered.
• Follow School Procedures : Adhere to all school policies and procedures, including attendance, discipline, and emergency protocols.
  

Qualifications :

• Education : High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelors degree or teaching certification preferred.
• Experience : Prior teaching experience or experience working with children in an educational setting is preferred.
• Skills :
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage a classroom effectively
  • Flexibility and a positive attitude
• Background Check : Must pass a background check as required by Barr-Reeve Community Schools.
