Job Description

ASM Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an excellent and immediate opening for Part-time Security Guard - 3rd shift (12am-8am) for the Peoria Civic Center. This position controls access to the facility, and patrols the facilities and grounds to prevent loss due to theft, fire, vandalism, and other hazards. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include patrolling facilities as scheduled and assigned; responding to requests and emergencies according to established policies and procedures; unlocking and/or locking doors before and after events as required; securing facility when unoccupied; maintaining security by verifying visitor authorization to access the facility; completing required daily reports; assisting visitors and employees as needed; maintaining lost and found articles; performing event alcohol I.D. checks; performing fire extinguisher and sprinkler inspections; maintaining vehicle log and check out system for Peoria Civic Center vehicles; issuing parking violations according to procedure; maintaining flag displays as directed; responding to radio and telephone communication with appropriate urgency; writing maintenance work orders on items observed as needing attention while performing patrol checks; and other duties as assigned. No direct reports for this position. Minimum qualifications include high school diploma/GED, English language fluency, basic computer skills, ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays, must be at least 18 years old, must have reliable transportation, and a background check may be required. Physical demands include ability to move around the facility, speak and hear, work inside or outside, walk extended distances, climb stairs, and frequently lift up to 25 lbs.
