Job Description

Job Summary: This person will assist with the efficient operation of the plant by maintaining all production tooling. Supports manufacturing by repairing, tear-down and rework existing tools. Manage a mold data base/list, track time, and updates, modifications, spare parts list, and other relevant information for all molds within the company. Must also be able to comply with the duties and responsibilities below. Knowledge | Experience | Skills: High school diploma or GED. Skilled mold making job typically requires trade school and 3+ years of tool room experience, or equivalent. Three years experience in Injection Molding preferred. General knowledge of Injection Molding and manufacturing operations. Mechanical background experience preferred. Completion of the tool and die maker apprenticeship program and/or equivalent experience required. Good communication and Interpersonal Skills. Basic Computer experience. Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Must be able to effectively lead a job
• Manage rebuild / repairs using in house resources
• Communicate appropriately with customers, engineering, manufacturing, and quality departments
• Supports production by maintaining all molds in a production ready state.
• Responsible for mentoring less experienced employees on the job, such as apprentices
• Repairs, cleans, services and performs insert changes on all molds
• Wire Hot runners, hot sprue, thermocouples in addition to replace hot runner components
• Wire limit switches
• Cleaning ,lubrication, polishing
• Must complete job assignments in a timely manner
• Blue and spot shutoffs in and out of the machine
• Ability to make small parts in a manual lathe, milling machine, surface grinder
• TIG weld
• Knowledge of core pull hydraulic cylinders being able to rebuild / replace
• Must be able to read blueprints and part prints
• Does skilled fitting tooling components
