Overview:
The purpose of tutoring is to increase and enhance the student's mastery of concepts or applications of a specific course of study. An Instructional Tutor assists in providing individual and small group tutoring services to BCCC students. Instructional Tutors provide students with pre-tutoring assessments to identify the student's weakness and design an individualized learning plan.
Math Tutors assist students individually or in small groups and help them improve their math skills. These instructors perform activities like developing tutoring resources, monitoring student progress, identifying areas needing improvement, helping with homework and preparing students for tests.
Please note the position will be in-person, on campus.
Minimum Education and Training Requirements:
* Experience in tutoring and/or teaching at the college level;
* Equivalent combinations of experience and education may also receive consideration;
* Minimum GPA of 3.0;
* Instructor recommendation;
* Peer tutors must be enrolled in at least six credits;
