Job Description:

As a Marine Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and operation of all mechanical and electrical systems onboard the cruise ship . You will work closely with the Captain and other crew members to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the vessel.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of all mechanical and electrical systems onboard the cruise ship , including engines, generators, pumps, and other equipment

- Troubleshoot and repair any equipment malfunctions in a timely manner

- Monitor fuel and oil levels, and ensure proper storage and handling procedures are followed

- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed

- Train and supervise junior engineers and other crew members in the safe and efficient operation of equipment

- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and procedures

- Assist with the loading and unloading of cargo as needed

- Participate in emergency drills and be prepared to respond to emergencies at any time

- Keep up-to-date with industry developments and new technologies related to marine engineering

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field

- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Engineer on board vessels

- STCW certification

- Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems on board vessels

- Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment

- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills

- Strong communication and leadership skills

- Ability to work well in a team and adapt to changing situations

- Willingness to work long hours and be on call 24/7

- Physically fit and able to lift heavy objects and work in confined spaces
