Job Description

Our client, is seeking a Maintenance Technician IV to join their team. As a Maintenance Technician IV, you will be part of the Central Utility Plant team supporting various business units. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive attitude which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Maintenance Technician IV

Location: San Jose, CA

Pay Range: $30.00+ DOE
Schedule: 5:45am to 6:15pm every Thursday, Friday, Saturday and every other Wednesday. OT is paid for all hours worked over 8 hours in a shift

What's the Job?

• Perform building operations, preventive maintenance, and basic equipment repairs on Central Utility Plant equipment such as boilers, chillers, and air compressors.
• Respond to calls from site business units, documenting issues clearly and professionally.
• Work with Maintenance and Operations teams to dispatch response teams effectively.
• Conduct basic repairs and installations of piping systems including welding and soldering.
• Inspect major site systems, perform troubleshooting, and implement corrective actions.

What's Needed?

• Experience with maintenance of boilers, chillers, and HVAC systems.
• Knowledge of building automation and corrective maintenance procedures.
• Ability to work in confined spaces and perform underground vault work.
• Strong communication skills in English (speak, read, write).
• Physical ability to meet job requirements, including passing physical and audiometric examinations.
