POSITION TITLE: Level I Technician, CAD
CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt

ADB is seeking a Level I Technician, CAD to provide CAD drawing and support within our OSP Engineering division. This is an entry level role supporting CAD functions for various OSP utility construction projects within a market. The ideal candidate will be customer and quality focused, have a high level of attention to detail, with a strong work ethic and
ALL IN attitude.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Creates entry level CAD drawings given by the OSP Engineering team to support various OSP utility construction projects in adherence to their local municipality requirements
- Verify CAD design data against GIS system, ensure quality in both, make corrections when needed
- Makes revisions on CAD drawings (red lines) provided by Engineers or CAD Lead
- Creates base mapping of existing surface features to accurately display field conditions
- Utilizes existing PDF utility plans to map out existing utility infrastructure
- Interprets the completed redlines from construction vs. the original design to create a closeout package
- Supports the Lead CAD Tech to create an entire construction ready drawing set that encompasses quantities and Bill of Materials
- Ability to read and interpret utility construction drawings and prints
- Provides regular updates to Engineering trackers within various Software on daily production
- Collaborates with team mates on daily workloads and assignments regularly
- Performs other position duties as requested by leadership

- Basic knowledge of construction drawings and documents
WORK ENVIRONMENT: This position operates within a temperature-controlled office environment
This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers, projectors, copy/fax, and smartphones
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: - 1+ year of CAD experience required if no formal education/degree
- Associates degree in Computer Aided Drafting required if no formal experience
- High School diploma or equivalent required
