Position summary

Conduct legal and regulatory research and provide logistical support to the General Counsel (GC) and members of the legal team. The hourly rate for law student interns is $25.

What you'll do

• Prepare briefing memos, talking points, and comment summaries on legal and regulatory issues for the GC and the legal team.
• Attend virtual and in person regulatory hearings
• Assist legal department with external litigation needs
• Review proposed legislation and regulations in coordination with other departments, such as Government Affairs
• Participate in committee meetings and meetings with allied trade associations to gather and disseminate information on assigned projects.
• Assist in development of regulatory tracking database
• Support the legal department staff with other administrative operations and support to meet department needs.

What you'll need to succeed (requirements)

• Must be a current J.D. candidate in good standing at an accredited institution
• Must be presently authorized to work for any employer in the United States
• Must be willing to work in Washington, D.C.
• Excellent research and writing skills.
• Sound judgment and the ability to handle confidential information.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), SharePoint
• Familiarity with the FDA and consumer goods industry a plus.
