Job Description

BRC is a professional services firm specializing in the field of accident analysis and injury causation consulting. BRC has also conducted extensive research in the fields of accident reconstruction and biomechanics, with regular publication in peer-reviewed journals.

The Document Review and Proofreading Specialist is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and clarity of all written materials produced by consultants within the organization. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, a strong command of grammar, and a deep understanding of the field-specific terminology. The specialist will act as the final reviewer for documents before they are submitted to clients, upholding the organization's high standards of quality and excellence. Collaboration with consultants and case coordinators is essential to align documents with client expectations and organizational guidelines. The specialist will also contribute to continuous improvement efforts by providing feedback and suggestions for enhancing document processes and templates.

Work environment is collegial and challenging with a team that includes physicians, engineers, nurses, paralegals and other professionals. 

BRC’s corporate hours support a work schedule of Mon. – Fri., 8:00 am to 5:00 pm CT.

Required Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in English, Journalism, Communications or related field. Can be substituted for equivalent relevant experience.
• Proficiency in Associated Press (AP) style and other relevant style guides.
• Demonstrated ability to thoroughly verify information and conduct in-depth research.
• Mastery of grammar, spelling, and syntax, along with strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office and other essential software tools.
