Full Time Summary TheCyber Security Engineer will play a critical role in supporting theorganization's Information Security Program. Reporting directly to the ChiefInformation Security Officer (CISO), this role will collaborate closely withvarious business units, including IT, Engineering and others, to ensure acohesive and comprehensive approach to information security across theorganization. The candidate will be responsible for developing and implementingsecurity measures to protect our organization's systems and networks from cyberattacks. In this role, you will work closely with our IT department to ensurethat all security procedures are implemented globally. This position is idealfor a detail-oriented and proactive individual looking to grow their career in informationsecurity.
Essential Functions •Monitor networks and systems for securitybreaches, investigate violations, and recommend appropriate action.
•Conduct vulnerability assessments andpenetration testing to identify potential weaknesses in our systems andnetworks, and drive remediation outcomes.
•Develop and implement securitypolicies, procedures, and standards to ensure that all systems and networks aresecure.
•Work closely with the IT department toensure that all security procedures are implemented globally and that allemployees are trained to follow these procedures.
•Work with and implement new securityplatforms and technologies.
•Collaborate with other teams to identify andaddress security risks and to implement appropriate security measures.
•Develop, executeand track the performance of security measures to protect information andnetwork infrastructure and computer systems.
•Configure, troubleshoot and maintain security infrastructure software andhardware.
•Educate and train staff on information system security best practices.
RequiredEducation and Experience •Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Technology or an Information Security related field.
•Experience: 3-5 years of experience in information security, with a focus on endpoint security, network security and security operations.
Skills: - Knowledge of information security principles, frameworks, and best practices (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
- Experience and familiarity with industry platforms (EDR, SIEM, MDM, etc)
- Experience with Infrastructure security products: i.e. Firewalls, IDS/IPS, Email Protection, DLP
- Familiarity with scripting languages (i.e. python, powershell, bash)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create clear and engaging training materials.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, SOX, SOC 2) and third-party risk management is a plus.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
