Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Crane Operator to support our tree care operations. In this role, you will operate cranes to safely remove or relocate trees and large branches on residential and commercial properties. You will work closely with a team of arborists, ground crew, and other professionals to ensure jobs are completed efficiently and in compliance with safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate a crane to lift, move, and position trees, logs, and large debris during tree care operations.
• Conduct pre-operation inspections to ensure crane equipment is in safe working condition.
• Collaborate with arborists and ground crew to execute precise and safe crane maneuvers.
• Set up cranes, including proper placement and stabilization, on various terrains.
• Adhere to all company, industry, and OSHA safety standards and protocols.
• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on crane equipment as needed.
• Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate operations and ensure job site safety.
• Maintain accurate records of crane operations, inspections, and maintenance.

Qualifications:

• Valid crane operator certification (e.g., NCCCO or equivalent).
• Proven experience operating cranes in tree service.
• Strong understanding of crane safety protocols and load management.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions and challenging terrains.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Physical ability to perform job duties, including lifting, climbing, and standing for extended periods.
• Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred).
