Job Description

Title: Communications Manager

Location: Newtown Square, PA

Office Type: Hybrid

Salary Range : 65,000-85,000 annually

 

About Us: 

National Elevator Industry Benefit Plans (NEIBP) is the health insurance and retirement benefits plan for members of the International Union of Elevator Constructors (IUEC). About the role:

The Communication Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing all communication initiatives. This role involves creating high-quality written content, overseeing internal and external communications, and collaborating with various departments to ensure consistent, and relevant and clear messaging. 

 

Key responsibilities include: 

· Work with Trustees, consultants, counsel, staff, and Service Providers to develop, implement, execute and maintain a comprehensive communication strategy aligning with the business needs,

· Content developer for various member communication vehicles. Responsible for researching, writing, and creating content in different formats for different audiences and purposes,

· Manages all internal and external communications, ensuring its message is consistent and engaging,

· Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders within the organization,

· Work with all departments to develop, implement, and monitor content ensuring relevant and accurate information,

· Monitor communication effectiveness and make all necessary adjustments,

· Conduct and regularly refresh communications to identify opportunities for improvement,

· Develop and oversee effective communication procedures and policies for various situations or crises,

· Assists in developing various presentations for leadership,

About you:

· Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, or related discipline,

· Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Communications Specialist or Manager, Public Relations Officer of similar role in communications,

· Familiarity and comfortability with digital communication tools/platforms, and design software

· Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills with great attention to detail and accuracy,

· Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to know how to communicate to the targeted audience,

· High level of creativity and strategic thinking, with the ability to develop innovative communication solutions,

· Strong organizational, time management, and project management skills with the ability to drive projects to completion,

· Ability to work independently or collaboratively, with a strong team-oriented approach,

· Extensive experience and judgement to plan and accomplish goals,

· Leadership abilities, including training and coaching,

· Previous knowledge of benefits administration is a plus

· Ability to travel 5-10%
