About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Data Officer to lead a comprehensive data strategy and federated governance model, ensuring that data is a strategic asset and promoting its use in decision-making across the institution. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and approving administrative policies, establishing parameters for major data projects, and interpreting and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. The Chief Data Officer will also be a key representative of the institution in discussions with governmental agencies and will lead a staff of employees in the data management function. Candidates for the Chief Data Officer position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in a related field and a minimum of 10 years' experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. The role requires a strong background in data, strategy, digital, or technology, with a preference for those who have experience in a higher education or non-profit environment. The Chief Data Officer will be instrumental in establishing a robust data and analytics capability, including the development of a shared vision, data governance, and infrastructure. Collaboration with internal and external stakeholders is essential, as is the ability to lead a data strategy committee and work closely with senior leaders across the institution.
