Description

Welcomes gaming license applicants by greeting them, in person or on the telephone; answering or referring inquiries/ Directs applicants by maintaining employee and department directories; giving instructions. Maintains security by following procedures; monitoring logbook; issuing badges. assists licensing staff by conducting research and organizing license files.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED Required
• Issues Badges and maintains hardware and databases associated with the badge issuance machine
• Ensures that the employee and vendor licensing investigations are carried out in the thorough and consistent manner.
• Maintains accuracy of license application information
• Maintains high level of knowledge in the field of background investigations as well as tribal, state and federal licensing regulations.
• Knowledge in the areas of the IGRA, casino gaming, tribal ordinances, regulations, and internal control standards recommended
• Valid drivers license and the ability to pass the NIGC key license background
• Basic operation of a workstation and general office equipment. Computer related problem solving skills through the use of available trainings and help desk
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite ( Word, excel, etc.) internet software and appropriate storage of electronic files
• Good Verbal, written, and interpersonal communications skills
• Cursory Knowledge of gaming commission licensing regulations recommended.
• Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast paced, high pressure environment
• Interacts with internal and external employees
• Corresponds and communicates with federal, state and tribal regulatory agencies
• Erroneous decisions will have a serious impact on the overall success and integrity of the department as well as the agency
