Job Description

Aerospace Engineer III

Contract: 6-7 months

Location: Onsite in Englewood, CO

Pay Range: $60 - $70 per hour

*MUST HAVE AN ACTIVE SECRET CLEARANCE

Job Overview:

Our client is looking for an Aerospace Engineer in Englewood, CO. In this position you will be responsible for researching, designing, developing, testing, certifying, deploying, and improving cutting-edge aerospace products and services. These encompass advanced mission payloads, electronic systems, highly integrated aircraft, and orbital and space exploration systems. You will be tasked with developing complex aerodynamic components, structures, and systems while managing technical duties throughout the entire product lifecycle, including design, analysis, testing, and process improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research, design, and develop innovative aerospace products and services, including mission payloads, aircraft systems, and space exploration solutions.
  • Perform aerodynamic and structural analysis to create advanced components, systems, and aircraft designs.
  • Oversee the testing, certification, and deployment of aerospace systems to ensure compliance with industry standards and safety requirements.
  • Conduct wind tunnel and aircraft flight tests to validate system performance and stability.
  • Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to optimize designs and improve existing products and processes.
  • Develop and simulate static and dynamic models for aircraft stability and control systems.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in engineering simulation tools like Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) using StarCCM.
  • Understanding of aircraft external loads, performance, stability, and control systems.
  • Familiarity with wind tunnel and aircraft flight test procedures
  • Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry.
  • Knowledge of system-level static and dynamic modeling and simulation.
  • Exposure to parametric design, model-based definition, and flight mechanics fundamentals.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelors of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or other related discipline and typically 6 or more years of relevant experience.
