We are in search of an entry-level Accountant to join our team in Garden City, New York. You will be part of a dynamic and fast-paced environment, where you will have a chance to contribute to the financial health of our organization. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity, where you will be working closely with the accounting team to ensure the accuracy of financial data and compliance with regulatory standards.

Responsibilities:

• Conducting account analysis to ensure correctness and completeness of financial data.

• Processing accounts payable entries and maintaining accurate records.

• Performing account reconciliation activities to ensure the accuracy of all financial statements.

• Handling debit and credit entries in accordance with established protocols.

• Conducting audits to evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls and procedures.

• Handling data entry tasks to ensure the smooth running of accounting operations.

• Monitoring customer accounts and taking appropriate action when necessary.

• Conducting I-9 audits to ensure compliance with federal regulations.

• Using your skills in Account Analysis, Accounting Entries, Account Reconciliation, and Accounts Payable (AP) to enhance the efficiency of our accounting processes.

• Possess a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field
• Demonstrated understanding of Account Analysis
• Proficiency in performing Accounting Entries
• Experience in Account Reconciliation is desirable
• Familiarity with Accounts Payable (AP) operations
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and within a team
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
• Knowledge of relevant accounting software will be an advantage
• Good ethical standards and high levels of integrity.
